That seems pretty accurate. I took a look and found some cool info about downtown condo trends that was relevant for me during my search for a loft down there. But, yea, more info is needed!
Searching through the websites I could find for "San Diego real estate" and "San Diego homes for sale" on Google and Yahoo!, I wasn't really able to find much in the way of information---the non-commercial kind.
What I found however, is that Home Sales San Diego, the self-acclaimed "San Diego Real Estate Insider" is a little different. There wasn't much salesy-speak or pushing of 1-800 numbers of agents, etc. There was more of an informational angle which was pretty refreshing. I gathered that it may or may not be the site of an agent or brokerage, possibly just someone with a real estate background writing about what they know and collecting home buyer and seller leads.
Clicking around I found a good deal of San Diego neighborhood information with statistics and demographics and such, some San Diego realtor interviews, and some more specific blog posts about real estate in various areas (Pacific Beach real estate for example).
I like the blog format, it's nice that there is an active channel for discussion. I also like the fact that there are tips and helpful advice for buyers and sellers and not just a bunch of templated "La Jolla real estate is great to buy and sell", "Del Mar real estate is great to buy and sell" type of doorway pages (I actually came across a site using those while searching Yahoo). Oh, and the graphic design is pretty cool too.
What I find the site is lacking in is content. Maybe it's somewhat new, didn't really check... but it seems to need another 40 or so posts to really fill itself out, and to become a more complete resource for the areas of San Diego which it intends to cover. I think that a higher frequency of posting would allow it to attract an actual following (agents and local amateurish investors could benefit) via RSS, etc. I would also say to keep it up with the real estate agent interviews, that's definitely something that allows potential buyers and sellers a way to preview realtors' personalities a bit more than their own sites usually allow for.
Let us know if there is anything you would add to this review.

As a realtor i have to admit that that site is somewhat more useful than most san diego real estate sites i find. it just needs mls listings.
Hi There I am a Realtor in Hawaii and have found a great site that has temporary housing on it. It is very useful for buyers from out of town house hunting. They have may properties listed in the San Diego area http://www.goin2travel.com/sandiego.htm . Hopefully this will be useful for any buyers in the San Diego area. Aloha,
Jeff M
It doesn't need listings on it. It is very informative the way it is... plus, you can find homes for sale in San Diego at a variety of other (agent owned and run) websites online.
I don't think the site necessarily needs links in it either. There are tons of sites that have good san diego apartment listings.
